ARCHERY COMPETITIVE TEAM

Students in 4th & 5th grade attend tryouts for selection

Advisors: Ronney Miller & Brandi Duke

Purpose: The goal of this team will be to compete in one of the district tournaments and place high enough to compete in the region and state tournaments to be held in 2026-2027. More detailed information will be available after Coach Miller selects the top archers from our tryouts to compete in this tournament.

Activities: Practice competitive archery

HELEN RUFFIN READING BOWL COMPETITITON TEAM

Limited to 20 students from 2nd & 3rd grade.

Advisors: Mrs. Renee Johnson and Mrs. Suzanne Rowley

Purpose: To develop a love of reading through shared picture book experiences.

Activities: 2nd & 3rd grade students are eligible to complete an application expressing their interest. Club sponsors will work closely with homeroom teachers to finalize club participants. Club participants will be notified if selected.

FRENCH CLUB

Accepts applications for membership with a cap of 20 students in grades 4-5.

Advisors: Mrs. Russell 

Purpose: To learn the French language

Activities:  Students will practice and learn French with fun activities.

GARDEN CLUB

Limited to 20 students from 2nd and 3rd grade

Advisors: Mrs. Rollo, Ms. Jira, Mrs. Craddock, and Mrs. Moon

Purpose: To plant, care for, harvest, and eat what is grown in the school garden. Science experiments, arts & crafts, and other projects will take place.

Activities: 2nd and 3rd grade students are eligible to complete an application expressing their interest. Club sponsors will work closely with homeroom teachers to finalize club participants. Club participants will be notified if selected.

LEGO CLUB

Accepting members from each grade level K-5.

Advisors: Mrs. Hester and Mrs. Barnett

Purpose: For students to use their creativity and have fun creating with Legos.

TECHNOLOGY CLUB & TECHNOLOGY CLUB, JR

Accepting 20 students in grade 4-5 in the Fall and 20 students in grade 2-3 in the Spring.

Advisors: Mrs. Ostafin

Purpose: For students to learn to leverage technology as a tool for research, prototyping, and communication to solve real-world science issues relevant to our school and community.

Activities: Dash robots, Tinker CAD/3D Printer, Mincraft Education, and Scratch.
